MISHAWISHA is a boutique studio specializing in visual communication for author and independent cinema, based in San Sebastián, Spain. Michael Wahrmann, aka MISHAWISHA, has been working as a director, producer, editor, and designer since 2009.

​The studio combines Michael’s passion for design and storytelling with his extensive experience in the film industry, creating a unique vision for film communication identity.
​
Michael studied visual communication at The Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, and completed his studies in the film department at FAAP in São Paulo, Brazil. He has been designing posters and creating trailers alongside his personal projects.
​
Michael has served as the communications manager for the labor law association of São Paulo (AATSP), edited for Swedish JG Communication – Ericsson Human City, ESPN Brasil, TV Cultura, and as designer for Vitrine Filmes in Brazil, JHR Films in France, and various independent producers.
​
As a director Michael’s films have been shown in numerous film festivals, including Cannes, Berlin, and Rotterdam, and have received over 60 awards over the years. Michael has taught film directing at AIC - São Paulo, Brazil and at the EQZE (Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola) in San Sebastian, Spain, among other consulting roles.

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and raised in Israel, Michael lived in Brazil for 18 years before establishing his base in San Sebastian, Spain.
MISHAWISHA collaborates with Shira Hochman in editing projects. Shira is an awarded film editor with over a decade of experience in both narrative and documentary filmmaking. Known for her work on the Oscar-nominated film "White Eye" (2021). Her recent projects have received international acclaim and have been featured in festivals, including, Locarno, Berlin, and San Sebastian, among others. (www.shirahochman.com)
